love in the time of cholera

"the perverse lucidity of nostalgia..."

florentino held on to his unrequited love for close to five decades.
while he watched his beloved marry someone else..
and finally, once again declared his love for fermina,in all his faith in love and undying passion.on the day she became a widow.

does this even happen in real life?

can you truly love someone,to the point of obsession..when that person is not yours?
what are the chances of finding someone, your 'zahir',in one lifetime?one lifetime is not enough.

it might seem foolish to some, even ridiculous..

but who's to judge, when love is forever undefined.

"two roads diverged in a wood and I --
I took the one less traveled.
and that has made all the difference."

it's easy to fall for someone when they make an effort to be nice to you.
of course, the fact might also be that they're just generally nice to people.
and so the bottomline of the story is,you fall too easily.

it's easy to let your feelings dominate and influence your actions.
too often,we regret words we should not have said,or things we should not have done.
but,we're not robots.we are not systematically programmed to stop when we should.
for that,I embrace regrets.

how many times have you picked up someone's photo and stared at it till you feel your eyes could bore a hole right through it?
just to make sure you will not forget that face.

do you walk around,go out,eat supper,surf the net,watch tv,drink,club,drive around,read,dance,sing,cook,call your friends..
instead of sleeping,when night falls?

do you linger outside instead of going home.

ever wished there was someone in your life that you could care about besides your family and friends..
he doesn't exactly have to be your boyfriend.

ever met someone you felt something for, only to find that he is attached..
or has built a wall around his heart.

society is often bound by moral ethics.
how can you be so sure what is right and what is wrong?
is there a set of rules that we live and follow by?
if so,why believe what others said when we can believe in ourselves?
after all, every story has a different ending.

when will I,see your face again.

my muse

Add to Memories Tell a Friend

it's like i've found my muse or something.

or rather,i've found another pair of dancing eyes.

the spark that i have not felt for so long;it re-ignited when i saw him.

it felt like we spoke through our eyes,as we both smiled.

we spoke with ease and little laughs, teasing at times.

and the things we found in common, such as music.

when i found out that you play the electric guitar, and you're into blues..honestly i was ecstatic.

to think you like gary moore and matchbox 20 too.so happy haha..

i dont think im falling or whatsoever yet..just really glad to have found a like-minded friend..

your smiles somehow, feel warm.like you were genuinely interested in what i had to say or were saying.

"i like keep missing you uh.."  "ohwell,im quite hard to catch ah.."

hope to see you soon,Mr.C :)
